For telework reporting purposes, "Employees" include all permanent and temporary state staff, such as retired annuitants.
According to the CalHR Telework Stipend Letter: “Departments should immediately begin to review their telework policy for compliance with the State Administrative Manual (SAM) section 181, and for definitions of Remote-Centered employees and Office-Centered employees. Departments should immediately begin to identify all employees who are teleworking to ensure each employee has completed telework form and telework designation in accordance with the SAM section 181.”
Examples: STD 200 telework agreement form; Previous DGS 2010 telework agreement; department specific emergency telework agreement
Is your department's agreement currently automated in a workflow tool? If so, which one?
Please note: submissions must begin no later than October 31, 2022
Please note: all telework data elements are required for all reporting periods since October 1, 2021
Please describe your department’s timetable, with dates and high-level milestones, of how your department will achieve telework data submission no later than October 31, 2022. This must include Approach, Dates and Milestones.
Example: Our department currently has an HR database that captures position number and CBID and whether they are telework eligible. We plan on utilizing this system in conjunction with a monthly questionnaire to each unit to collect the information and send to our Telework Coordinator to then submit through DGS’s shared service portal. We are in the process of identifying who will be our Telework Coordinator and hope to have a selection completed before April 2022 at which point they should be able to begin submitting data no later than August 2022.
